About Hoover Historical Center
The Hoover Historical Center, located on original Hoover family farmland in North Canton, Ohio, preserves the legacy of W.H. "Boss" Hoover and The Hoover Company through free, guided tours. Visitors explore a beautiful Victorian home where displays trace the evolution of floor care, featuring vintage vacuum cleaners, advertising innovations, and the company's cultural impact including World War II contributions. The center operates on a seasonal schedule with tours available Thursday through Saturday at multiple times throughout the day. Group tours can be arranged on weekdays during the season. The grounds include award-winning gardens maintained by the Herb Society at Hoover Historical Center. An antique vacuum display showcases the company's design heritage. The facility is wheelchair accessible, and the center welcomes families, history enthusiasts, and anyone interested in industrial heritage and domestic technology innovation.
