The 13,000-square-foot Georgian Italian villa was completed in 1916 and designed by renowned architects Neel Reid and Hal Hentz. The estate's signature feature is a series of dwarf boxwood parterres planted over 180 years ago, now considered one of the best-preserved 19th-century gardens in the country. Visitors stroll terraces, descend pathways, and explore rose bowers while learning about the Callaway family's stewardship. The estate offers educational programs and workshops covering topics like seed saving and therapeutic horticulture. Children can participate in Earle's Great Hunt, a complimentary scavenger hunt featuring the estate mascot. Guided garden tours are available by advance request. A brief orientation film precedes the house tour, and visitors should allow at least two hours to experience both the home and grounds fully.
