About Harris Arts Center - Roland Hayes Museum
The Harris Arts Center in Calhoun, Georgia houses the Roland Hayes Museum and serves as home to the Calhoun Gordon Arts Council, a nonprofit organization dedicated to arts and culture. Visitors browse the Roland Hayes Museum and Art Market during operating hours with free admission. The center occupies a converted 20,000-square-foot building featuring galleries, studios, and classrooms where the community participates in classes and programs. SilverSneakers workout classes meet Monday, Tuesday, and Friday mornings, with additional sessions on select days. Cherokee Promenaders Square Dancing takes place Thursday evenings with a class followed by dancing. Toddler Friday with Mrs. Angela occurs the third Friday of each month, while free storytime with Mrs. Angela happens the first Friday. The Harris Arts Center honors the legacy of Roland Hayes, the internationally acclaimed classical singer and Gordon County native, through cultural and educational programming that serves all community members.
