About Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens

Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens spans 13 acres east of downtown Columbus and invites visitors to explore botanical biomes, lush gardens, and seasonal exhibitions. The centerpiece John F. Wolfe Palm House, dating to 1895, anchors the Conservatory building alongside the Scotts Miracle-Gro Foundation Children's Garden, where the Sandstone Creek water feature draws families. Visitors encounter rotating horticulture and art exhibitions, including the Paul Busse Garden Railway and David Rogers: Big Bugs, plus a permanent collection of glass works by artist Dale Chihuly included with admission. The adjacent Community Garden Campus comprises four acres with an apiary, rose pavilion, berry house, demonstration kitchen, and Live-Fire Cooking Theater open to the public at no charge. Classes and workshops range from stained glass and watercolor to botanical dye and baking. The Conservatory welcomes more than 350,000 annual visitors seeking connection to nature through gardens, guided walks, and educational programs, located in Columbus, Ohio.
