About Emil Buehler Perpetual Trust Planetarium

The Emil Buehler Perpetual Trust Planetarium at Seminole State College offers live, interactive shows and full-dome video presentations exploring astronomy and space. Visitors experience traditional star displays, cultural shows detailing the importance of astronomy around the world, and feature presentations that travel through outer space. The planetarium has served Central Florida for more than 25 years as an educational resource for school groups and classes ranging from preschool to college level. Current shows include Sol's Neighborhood: Cruising the Cosmos, Central Florida Nights, and special events like Earthlight World with Dr. Sian Proctor. The facility also hosts Geneva Dark Sky Night programming. The planetarium is home to the Central Florida Astronomical Society, one of the largest amateur astronomy societies in the Southeast. Located on the Sanford/Lake Mary Campus, the planetarium welcomes curious stargazers of all ages. Doors open fifteen minutes before each show, and seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
