About Edenton Bay Cruises
Edenton Bay Cruises operates scenic narrated tours aboard the Liber-Tea, a 22-foot electric launch that carries up to six passengers on Edenton Bay. Captain Mark Thesier pilots the eco-friendly vessel, powered by a quiet electric motor that produces no exhaust fumes. The boat features padded seats, a table for refreshments, and a canopy for shade. During cruises, the captain shares stories about Edenton's history and the bay's unique features, including tales of a cypress tree where sailors stored rum. The Liber-Tea departs from Edenton Harbor at the end of South Broad Street, across from the Barker House and Welcome Center. Themed and private charters are available, including sunset tours. The boat is regularly inspected by the U.S. Coast Guard and suits visitors of all ages, from young children to seniors. Cruises operate Thursday through Monday at multiple times throughout the day, weather permitting.
