About Buddy Holly Center

The Buddy Holly Center in Lubbock preserves the legacy of the region's most famous native son through galleries, exhibitions, and programs celebrating music and visual arts. Visitors explore the Buddy Holly Galleries, which collect and interpret artifacts related to the musician and other West Texas performers. The center also features changing exhibitions in the visual arts, showcasing work by fine artists from the region. Adjacent to the building, the Buddy Holly Center plaza contains the West Texas Walk of Fame, including a statue by sculptor Grant Speed, accessible to the public dawn to dusk. The center occupies a renovated historic Fort Worth and Denver Depot building on Crickets Avenue. The dual-mission museum serves visitors interested in music history, regional culture, and contemporary fine art, offering both educational programming and public entertainment. The center charges admission, with published prices available online.
