About Bay Area Skydiving
Bay Area Skydiving operates tandem jumps and progressive training programs from its drop zone in Byron, California. First-time visitors experience tandem skydiving with certified instructors, exiting an aircraft at 13,000 feet or higher for up to 60 seconds of freefall at speeds reaching 120 mph, followed by a 5-7 minute parachute descent. The facility also offers the AFF (Accelerated Freefall) program for those pursuing USPA A-license certification in as few as seven jumps, with instruction progressing through seven categories from first solo jumps through advanced solo maneuvers. Experienced jumpers access load organizing, wingsuit flights, and formation jumps. All tandem packages include certified instructor guidance and safety equipment, with photo and video capture available separately. The drop zone provides views of Bay Area hills, the River Delta, and on clear days, the San Francisco skyline.
