About Yisrael Farms

Yisrael Farms is an urban farm in Sacramento where visitors can take guided tours to learn about sustainable agriculture. Tours include an up-close look at regenerative farming practices such as no-till farming, interaction with chickens and bees, and exploration of how the farm grows fresh organic produce. The farm operates on a sliding scale fee structure adjusted to group budgets, with tours available for individuals, families, school groups, and organizations. Group sizes range from a minimum of 10 to a maximum of 25 people. The farm also hosts free community programs including Turnip Tuesdays and Sow and Grow Saturdays, though space is limited. Restrooms are available, and groups can bring picnic-style lunches to eat on the open grass area. Founded by Judith and Chanowk Yisrael, the farm has grown from a half-acre urban garden into multiple locations and now serves as a community resource focused on food justice, sustainable agriculture, and workforce development.
