The Tuolumne Memorial Museum preserves local history in a restored 1922 clubhouse at the corner of Bay and Carter Streets in Tuolumne, California. Founded in 1942 by teacher and historian Marie Rozier and businesswoman Patsy McMahon, descendants of pioneer families, the museum houses artifacts collected from Tuolumne residents over decades. The main room features restored wainscoting, tile and batten walls, Douglas fir wood flooring, and an original fireplace built from local river rock. Bookcases that once held library books now display pioneering family bibles, photo albums, cameras, and musical instruments. The kitchen exhibit area contains vintage and antique cookware and household gadgets. Visitors also encounter Me-Wok artifacts and exhibits about the town's three historical names. Beyond displayed items, the museum maintains an extensive collection of written materials, documents, maps, photographs, recordings, and videos of local residents sharing reminiscences about area history. The building continues to serve as a gathering space for community celebrations and special occasions.
We check this attraction’s own website for offers. The last time we read tuolumnemuseum.org, on , there was no offer on it that we could verify.
The page stays here because the attraction is still worth knowing about, and because we keep checking. If a deal appears on their site, it appears here.
