About The REC

Riverwalk Park in Port Orange features recreational activities centered on the Halifax River. The north section includes a kayak, canoe, and paddle board launch where equipment rentals are available, alongside a boardwalk, fishing piers, and a 12-foot-wide trail. The south section offers a splash pad for water play, a playground with shade structures, a riverfront promenade with palm trees, and an event stage. Throughout the park, visitors find picnic pavilions with grills, a concession stand, and restroom facilities. The property also includes an Agents of Discovery augmented reality game, a bike trail, and a walking track. Picnic pavilions are available for rental by private parties. The park opens at dawn and closes at dusk, with walkways remaining lighted until sunrise.
