About South Texas Maize

South Texas Maize is an 8-acre corn maze at Graff 7A Ranch in Hondo, Texas, where families navigate pathways through hedged sections each fall. The attraction draws visitors from San Antonio, Castroville, Uvalde, and surrounding South Texas communities for hayrides, pumpkins, and seasonal photo opportunities. Children and adults explore the maze while enjoying wide-open outdoor space on a working cattle ranch. Food and drinks are available throughout the grounds. The ranch also welcomes well-behaved leashed dogs. Graff 7A Ranch operates as an authentic working South Texas cattle ranch, with the Graff family—now in its fifth and sixth generations—maintaining the land since the 1840s. Schools and homeschool groups arrange field trips during the season. Admission is charged, with tickets sold onsite when visitors arrive rather than online, and the ranch operates cashless on weekends.
