Scale Rails of Southwest Florida is a model railroad club where visitors observe and learn about working miniature train layouts in multiple scales. The club operates an N scale modular layout in the front room of its building, called the Depot, with trains set up and running on display. The back room houses an operational HO scale layout and an integrated HOn3 layout, which members constantly improve and expand. Visitors can tour the HO layout to watch trains run and observe how model railroading is accomplished. The club was formed in 1983 and has occupied its current building since 2003. Membership includes modelers ranging from beginners to master craftspeople who share knowledge about the art and history of rail transportation. The club welcomes the public during published visiting hours. A visit suits anyone interested in model trains, miniature railroad scenes, and the technical aspects of model railroading. The attraction is located in North Fort Myers, Florida.
Admission is free. The venue says: “Admission Fee: Free. Donations always appreciated.”
Hours: Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 10:00am - 2:00pm
