Sabine Woods Sanctuary in Port Arthur protects twenty-seven acres of large oak trees along a chenier ridge, providing critical habitat for migratory songbirds traveling along the Gulf Coast. Visitors walk through the sanctuary on foot to observe and photograph birds in their natural environment. The site remains open at all times with walk-in access available through a pedestrian gap at the entrance gate. Parking is limited near the gate, with additional roadside parking available farther along the highway. No pets are permitted, and camping is not allowed. The sanctuary welcomes birders of all skill levels interested in discovering the diverse migratory species that depend on this protected habitat. Visitors can track bird sightings and other wildlife observations through eBird and iNaturalist platforms linked to the sanctuary. The Texas Ornithological Society manages this beloved birding destination as part of its mission to promote the discovery and conservation of birds throughout Texas.

Sabine Woods Sanctuary (Texas Ornithological Society) publishes its own offers, and when texasbirds.org was last read there was none.
The page stays here because the attraction is still worth knowing about, and because we keep checking. If a deal appears on their site, it appears here.
