About Rim Nordic Ski Area
Rim Nordic Ski Area is Southern California's only cross country ski area with machine-groomed trails, located in the San Bernardino Mountains five miles east of Running Springs. During winter, visitors enjoy classic Nordic skiing, skate skiing, and snowshoeing on groomed terrain. The facility offers equipment rentals for cross country skis, boots, poles, and snowshoes, along with adjustable poles included with snowshoe packages. Weekend lessons in classic and skate skiing begin at 9:30 a.m. on a first-come, first-served basis. A learn-to-ski package combines instruction, trail access, and rentals. Summer visitors can mountain bike on the Rim Nordic Bike Park trail system, including single track trails, available weekends from Memorial Day through Labor Day. The area operates daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. when conditions permit, and charges admission for trail access. All snowshoers must purchase a daily or season trail pass to access the terrain.
