About Pioneer Village at Shingle Creek
Pioneer Village at Shingle Creek in Kissimmee recreates daily life in early Osceola County through authentic structures moved from around the region and preserved on-site. Visitors walk through a general store and post office, schoolhouse, church, train depot, and homesteads built by Osceola settlers. The village also features a Seminole settlement, cow camp, blacksmith shop, citrus packing plant, cane grinder, and barn. Self-guided tours using QR codes and signage are available in English and Spanish. The grounds include animals: visitors can meet goats and visit with chickens. The attraction suits families and anyone interested in regional history and pioneer-era work. Admission is charged; tickets are sold online through osceolahistory.org.
