The Exploration Station at Perry Farm Park in Bourbonnais is an interactive learning center where children engage in hands-on exploration and discovery across multiple exhibits. Visitors explore a paleontology exhibit, a kitchen play area, and dinosaur dress-up costumes, along with other interactive displays designed to promote problem-solving, socialization, and motor skill development. A designated toddler area serves children 36 inches and under or those still learning to walk and crawl. The facility runs daily programs and regularly introduces new activities to keep the experience fresh. Children of all ages are welcome, though most exhibits target children between ages 2 and 8. Families, teachers, and caregivers can spend time exploring at their own pace, following what captures each child's interest. The Exploration Station operates Tuesday through Saturday with hours posted on the facility's website. Admission is charged, with separate rates for children and adults.
