About Pennsylvania Longrifle Museum

Pennsylvania Longrifle Museum contains a substantial collection of original, hand-crafted Pennsylvania longrifles and related items from the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, opened to the public in 2006. Visitors explore more than 100 historic arms displayed in permanent and rotating topical exhibits housed in special galleries at the historic Henry Homestead at Boulton. The collection features Henry firearms spanning the American Fur Trade, the War of 1812, the Civil War, the American West, and the early twentieth century. Most firearms were made by the Henrys of Boulton, though the museum also holds arms crafted by Abraham Henry, who apprenticed in Nazareth under his brother William Henry II before returning to Lancaster. The Boulton area itself produced guns for more than 100 years. A visit suits anyone interested in firearms history, gunmaking craftsmanship, and regional industrial heritage. The museum is located in Nazareth, Pennsylvania.
