About Pasaquan

Pasaquan is a seven-acre visionary art environment in Marion County near Buena Vista, Georgia, featuring six significant structures decorated with intricate murals and elaborate painted masonry walls. Visitors tour the site to experience interior spaces complete with mandala murals and over 900 feet of intricately painted walls. The design combines pre-Columbian Mexican, African, and Native American cultural symbols with religious motifs and imagery inspired by James Churchward's book "The Lost Continent of MU." The compound blends psychedelic and mock-precolumbian aesthetics throughout. Pasaquan is recognized as one of the most significant visionary art environments in the United States and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The venue also operates a residency artist program and offers internships. The site charges admission, with prices published online. This attraction suits visitors interested in outsider art, cultural symbolism, and experimental artistic environments.
