About Nutty for Nutcrackers

Nutty for Nutcrackers is a museum in downtown Kings Mountain housing over 5,000 unique nutcrackers collected by Margaret Cook, a World War II veteran's wife who began acquiring German nutcrackers decades ago. Visitors explore multiple rooms filled with traditional Christmas nutcrackers alongside pop culture figures and presidential nutcrackers, displayed to showcase their vivid colors and varied expressions. The collection originated from Mrs. Cook's passion for the nutcrackers' artistry and has been restored and expanded by her son Dr. Mark Cook and museum owners Nathan and MaDonna Martin. The museum occupies the historic Kings Mountain Herald building on South Piedmont Avenue and remains on a single wheelchair-accessible level with a ramp entrance. The museum also operates alongside Flossy's, a curated antique shop housed in the same building. Parking is available beside the building and throughout downtown Kings Mountain.
