About Kings Mountain Fire Museum
The Kings Mountain Historical Fire Museum houses a collection of firefighting history and equipment spanning decades. Visitors explore several different fire trucks, including a 1938 Ford model that inspired the museum's creation in 1975. The museum displays the first pull-by-hand hose cart used in Kings Mountain, the first wooden ladder, and the first fire pole. Additional exhibits include old turnout gear, early fire extinguishers, and a showcase of past fire chiefs. The museum maintains an extensive collection of fire patches from organizations around the world.
