About McKee Botanical Garden

McKee Botanical Garden in Vero Beach spans 18 acres of historic jungle landscape featuring more than 10,000 plants and one of Florida's premier waterlily collections. Visitors explore lush trails, view the garden's architectural landmarks, and discover how plant explorers and landscape architect William Lyman Phillips shaped this tropical oasis beginning in 1926. The Children's Garden offers an accessible play area where families climb the Monkey Bridge, splash in the Water Lily Fountain and Karst Splash Pad, and explore themed spaces including the Blue Crab Reading Circle, Music Maze, Fairy Forest, and Grand Discovery Tree. The garden hosts free guided tours on Tuesday mornings, periodic orchid exhibits, and seasonal community events. A Garden Café serves beverages and pastries. McKee holds recognition as a National Historic Place, Florida Heritage Landmark, and one of National Geographic Traveler's top 20 North American sanctuaries. Admission is charged, with tickets sold online through the venue's website.
