About Man in the Sea Museum

Man in the Sea Museum is a military diving museum in Panama City Beach where visitors explore the history of underwater exploration through self-guided tours. The museum's 5,000 square feet house diving artifacts dating back to the 1800s alongside modern commercial and naval equipment. Exhibits center on the Navy's SEALAB program, featuring the newly restored SEALAB, the first experimental underwater habitat developed in the 1960s. Hands-on displays invite visitors to try on deep sea dive boots and various diving helmets. A 40-minute documentary about diving and SEALAB plays throughout the day, providing context for the exhibits. The museum offers a scavenger hunt for children and indoor and outdoor displays. A complete visit typically takes one and a half to two hours. The attraction suits all ages and remains open rain or shine.
