About Longview Arboretum and Nature Center

Longview Arboretum and Nature Center spans 26 acres of cultivated gardens and natural landscapes in the heart of Longview, with an 11-acre first phase currently open to visitors. The grounds feature winding pathways through ornamental plantings and East Texas ecosystems, accessible from the Visitor and Nature Center building. Admission is $5 per person, with children six and under admitted free. The venue hosts community events including outdoor concerts, seasonal celebrations, and workshops on topics like floral arranging and flower photography. Summer science classes for children cover subjects such as pond life, reptiles, butterflies, and astronomy, meeting three hours each morning. The arboretum also runs educational lunch-and-learn programs about gardening, pollinators, and plant care. Hours and tickets are published on longviewarboretum.org.
