About Horton Iris Garden and Pumpkin Patch
Horton Iris Garden and Pumpkin Patch is an iris farm located on King Road in Loomis, California, approximately 20 miles from Sacramento. Visitors experience a peaceful country setting while exploring about 1300 varieties of irises in bloom. The farm occupies a 125-year-old property where guests can view and purchase irises during their visit. The garden began in 1990 when the owner started collecting historic iris rhizomes to landscape the long driveway and grounds surrounding the farmhouse. The extensive catalog of iris varieties is organized alphabetically and available for browsing. The property hosts events and welcomes photographers interested in capturing the iris displays. Guests can also order irises to take home from their selection. The combination of the historic farm setting, diverse iris collection, and seasonal pumpkin patch creates a destination suitable for those interested in gardening, photography, and rural agricultural experiences.
