About Grant-Sawyer Home
The Grant-Sawyer Home is a historic house restored by the City of Grove City in cooperation with the Southwest Franklin County Historical Society. Visitors tour the first and second floors of the main residence, built in the 1830s or earlier, to learn about Hugh Grant Sr. and his family, the first permanent white settlers in what became Jackson Township. The homestead includes a barn where tours begin, and the property sits within the Gardens at Gantz Park alongside the Gantz Farm House, both listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Guided tours are available with advance reservations, limited to ten guests per tour. A virtual tour option uses a free phone app that provides information and audio narration as visitors walk the grounds and approach each structure. The home and buildings require navigating stairs; exterior viewing without reservation is available daily. The property is located in Grove City, Ohio.
