About Georgia Mountain Coaster
Georgia Mountain Coaster is Georgia's first and only mountain coaster, where visitors control their own speed and direction on a winding forest track. Riders operate manual handles on a cart that seats one or two people, choosing to race downhill for maximum thrills or coast slowly to take in the surrounding scenery. Solo riders must be at least 54 inches tall and able to manage the hand controls throughout the descent, while passengers as young as 3 years old can ride if they meet height and stability requirements. Drivers must be at least 16 years old to transport a passenger, and both riders must fit within combined weight limits that adjust based on track conditions. The attraction sits within walking distance of downtown Helen, making it convenient for families exploring the mountain town.
