The Fresno Art Museum is a nationally recognized fine art museum where visitors explore rotating exhibitions alongside a permanent collection of over 3,800 paintings, prints, and sculptures. The museum's holdings emphasize modern and contemporary art from California, art by women artists, and works on paper, with particular strength in Art of the Ancient Americas, spanning more than 2,500 years of artistic traditions from West Mexico, the Yucatan Peninsula, and the Peruvian Andes. The permanent collection features specific works including The Cacaxtla Murals Battle Mural Replica displayed in the Sumpf Gallery. Beyond viewing exhibitions, visitors can lunch in the sculpture garden or browse the museum store. The museum offers ArtLink field trips for students and serves families with young children. Located at the corner of Clinton and First Streets in Fresno next to Radio Park, the museum operates Thursday through Sunday.
