About Florida Surf Museum

The Florida Surf Museum preserves and documents the history and culture of Florida surfing through exhibits, events, and programs. Visitors explore rotating physical exhibits showcasing the people, places, and memorabilia that define Florida's surfing heritage, including surf magazines, photographs, trophies, and historical artifacts. The museum also maintains a robust online presence featuring in-depth articles, interviews, and images that complement physical exhibits, along with an active Facebook page and YouTube channel presenting contemporary and historical videos. The museum actively engages the community through public events and surfing contests, including its signature event, Surfing Santas of Cocoa Beach, an internationally recognized celebration. General admission is free. The museum is located inside the Ron Jon Surf Shop Watersports Rental building in Cocoa Beach, directly north of the main Ron Jon Surf Shop building. The museum founded in 1999 expanded in 2015 to highlight surfing history and culture across the entire state of Florida.
