About Daytona Sling Shot

Daytona Sling Shot is a thrill ride attraction in Daytona Beach featuring two extreme experiences. The Slingshot catapults riders over 360 feet into the air, accelerating from 0 to 100 mph in less than two seconds before experiencing weightlessness and freefall, then launching back upward repeatedly as steel cables and a giant spring machine engage. The Vomatron features a 165-foot arm with a passenger capsule at each end, rotated by six electric motors to speeds of 70 mph while generating forces up to 5Gs, then reversing with equal intensity. Both rides require a minimum height of 50 inches with no age or weight restrictions, provided riders can safely fasten the seat belt. The facility includes Screamer's Bar, an outdoor courtyard serving beer, wine, jello shots and soft drinks where visitors can observe the rides. Reservations are not required. The venue publishes admission prices online.
