About Chautauqua Belle

Chautauqua Belle is an authentic steam-powered sternwheel steamboat that operates narrated cruises on Chautauqua Lake. Visitors board for historical tours lasting approximately 1.5 to 1.75 hours, during which a local historian provides commentary on the lake's history while passengers view the multi-million-dollar homes along the Chautauqua Institution shoreline. The vessel carries restrooms and a snack bar on board. The Belle offers several cruise types: daily historical tours with light music, Saturday night dinner cruises featuring live music and barbecue, and transportation service to the Chautauqua Institution. The boat departs from multiple locations throughout the season, including Mayville, Bemus Point, Midway State Park, and other area docks. Group charters, rehearsal dinners, and motorcoach tours are available. Tickets are sold online through the venue's website. The Belle suits anyone interested in maritime history and scenic lake views during the sailing season in Mayville, New York.
