About Central Florida Railroad Museum

The Central Florida Railroad Museum in Winter Garden shares the history of railroading in Central Florida through photographs, maps, charts, historic railroad artifacts and exhibits displayed in climate-controlled galleries. Docents are available to answer questions about the region's railroad heritage. A highlight is the extensive dining car china and silver service collection, featuring more than forty china patterns from twenty-five railroads from the golden age of passenger trains. The museum also displays lanterns, lamps, locomotive bells, a motor car and station signage from railroads around the country. Visitors explore the galleries on self-guided tours, viewing historic artifacts and communication tools that tell the story of railroading in Central Florida. Group visits can be scheduled Tuesday through Friday and include a museum volunteer introduction before self-guided exploration. General admission is free. The museum is located in historic downtown Winter Garden near shops, restaurants and other attractions.
