About Cataloochee Ski Area
Cataloochee Ski Area is a ski resort in Maggie Valley where visitors purchase slope passes to ski and snowboard across multiple trails and terrain. The mountain operates four ski lifts—the Omigosh Quad, Rock Island Line Quad, Easy Way Triple, and conveyor systems—serving trails including Turkey Trot, Snowbird, Omigosh, and Wolf Creek Hollow, plus the CAT Cage Terrain Park. The resort offers ski and snowboard rentals and lessons for ages three and older through its Ski & Ride Center, with Kids Adventure lessons for ages 4–12, group lessons for youth ages 7–12 and adults 13 and older, and private instruction for all ages. Season passes are available alongside daily slope passes. Tube World operates tubing sessions on separate days. A visit involves purchasing an admission pass online through cataloochee.resortstore.net, renting equipment if needed, and potentially booking instruction. Seniors ages 65–69 receive $10 off one slope pass purchase per day, as do active duty, reservist, retired, and veteran military personnel.
