Catalina Adventure Sailing operates private sailing cruises departing from Green Pleasure Pier in Avalon, California. Visitors board either a brand new 38-foot Catalina 385 or a classic 30-foot Catalina 30TR sailboat for experiences with the engines off and sails up. The company offers two types of regular adventure cruises: a two-hour afternoon sail and a two-and-a-half-hour sunset cruise, available to groups of two or more people. Private charters can be customized for special occasions like wedding proposals, anniversaries, and bachelorette parties. Half-day trips include lunch and swimming at private coves along Catalina's coastline, while full-day excursions visit Two Harbors or circumnavigate the entire island. The company also accommodates multi-day sailing trips, channel crossings from the mainland, overnight beach camping, and private sailing instruction. Wildlife encounters are common, with dolphins frequently swimming alongside the vessels. A bed and breakfast option is available for overnight stays aboard the boats in Avalon Harbor.
