The Cade Museum for Creativity & Invention in Gainesville invites visitors to think and create like inventors through hands-on exhibits and activities. Guests conduct experiments, 3D print objects, and explore displays about people and inventions that changed the world. Current exhibits include Invention of Cool, which traces how inventors learned to manage Florida's heat through science and innovation, and Building Blocks, where visitors ride an excavator, play giant Jenga, and climb into origami structures to learn about simple machines and construction design. The museum also features permanent exhibits including Mothers of Invention, which explores how necessity, curiosity, imagination, iteration, and serendipity spark inventions; The Sweat Solution, about Gatorade's history and impact; and At First Flush, telling stories of toilets and bathroom innovations. The museum operates with interactive Labs where visitors engage in creative projects. The facility is wheelchair accessible and welcomes group visits by advance reservation.
