AWA Kayak Tours Silver Springs offers guided kayaking and paddleboarding tours through the clear spring-fed waters of Silver Springs State Park. Visitors paddle single or tandem sit-on-top kayaks alongside an experienced guide who points out wildlife including fish, turtles, birds and monkeys along the shoreline. Tours last approximately 1.5 to 2 hours and accommodate groups limited to six kayaks, allowing the guide to provide individual attention to each paddler. Before launching, participants receive a safety briefing and basic paddling instruction covering how to hold the paddle, move forward, turn and control the kayak. First-time kayakers are welcome, as no previous experience is required. Children ages six and older can participate. The water clarity allows visitors to see vegetation, submerged logs and aquatic life beneath their kayaks. Paddleboarding options are also available for those preferring stand-up paddleboards.
