Assiter Punkin Ranch & Pumpkin Patch is a family farm attraction in Floydada where visitors select from 71 different pumpkin, squash, and gourd varieties grown on 45 acres. The ranch began as a roadside retail operation in the early 1990s and has since expanded to include a red barn retail building and a working pumpkin patch. Beyond selecting pumpkins, visitors explore a mini petting zoo featuring big horses, mini horses, big donkeys, mini donkeys, big dogs, little puppies, big goats, baby goats, and occasionally a cat. The ranch also offers Border Collie demonstrations and guided field tours. Families can learn about pumpkin farming and the history of Floydada's pumpkin-growing legacy, which began in the late 1950s and now encompasses around 1,100 acres annually across Floyd County. The ranch is managed by the Assiter family and welcomes visitors from across Texas and internationally.
