Alpaquita Ranch is a family-run alpaca farm in Monte Alto where visitors interact directly with Huacaya and Suri alpacas through hands-on tours and encounters. The ranch, founded in 2019, has grown from seven alpacas to over fifty and serves as the first alpaca farm in the Rio Grande Valley. Guests participate in interactive tours where they meet individual alpacas, each with distinct names and personalities. The ranch hosts birthday celebrations, private events, and educational field trips designed for schools and animal lovers. Families can stay overnight at the on-site lodging and relax at the wine and beer bar. Educational programs allow students from across the Rio Grande Valley to visit and learn through interactive experiences.
