About Albin Polasek Museum & Sculpture Gardens

The Albin Polasek Museum & Sculpture Gardens explores the life and work of internationally acclaimed Czech sculptor Albin Polasek through his home, galleries, and surrounding sculpture gardens on the shores of Lake Osceola in Winter Park. Visitors tour the historic Capen House where Polasek lived and worked, view his sculptural collection, and stroll the serene gardens that illustrate the artist's life and times. The museum presents changing exhibitions celebrating art that tells a story, including current exhibitions from renowned photographers and artists. Free guided museum tours run daily, and video tours preview the home and specific exhibits. Group tours for ten or more people include access to Polasek's private chapel. The site offers programs and artist talks throughout the year, and picnics are encouraged in the gardens. All public areas and entrances are wheelchair-accessible. The museum suits anyone interested in sculpture, art history, or the creative legacy of a significant Czech-American artist.
