About Trail Horse Adventure
Trail Horse Adventure offers guided horseback trail rides through Dead Horse Ranch State Park near Cottonwood, Arizona. Visitors mount gentle horses and ride through desert terrain and waterside paths on tours lasting one or 1.5 hours. The experience includes a river crossing, views of Tuzigoot ruins, and mountain scenery. Before mounting, riders receive a safety demonstration and are paired with appropriate horses. Experienced guides share information about the land's history, flora, fauna, and local wildlife encountered along the way. The attraction welcomes riders ages six and up, regardless of experience level. Closed-toed shoes and long pants are required. Riders can explore cottonwood groves and riparian areas while observing native plants and wildlife typical to the region. Tickets are sold online through the venue's website.
