Massacre Mansion is a haunted attraction on the grounds of Blackthorne Resort in East Durham, New York, where visitors navigate through multiple themed fright experiences. The attraction begins with a Haunted Gothic style graveyard maintained by a character called crazy Joe the Grave digger. Those who proceed enter the Mansion itself, a two-story Victorian style house featuring 13 or more scenes haunted by Dr. Angus Fear and his brother Edger. After the Mansion, brave visitors continue through the Extreme Darkness section. The experience concludes with Wolf Hollow fright trail. The attraction is run by Tom Uhll and Dale Handel. Massacre Mansion suits visitors seeking immersive horror experiences and themed scares across multiple connected areas rather than a single location.
