Carteret County Speedway is a 4/10-mile asphalt racetrack in Swansboro where visitors watch multiple racing divisions compete, including Smart Modifieds, Crate Modifieds, Legends, Bandoleros, Super Stocks, and Vintage Racing League cars. The track features two degrees of banking in the turns and flat straightaways that drivers favor throughout the Carolinas. The facility includes an infield restaurant called MoonShiner'z Cafe decorated with racing memorabilia, plus an adjacent campsite with full RV hookups for overnight visitors. General grandstand admission and pit passes are available, with discounted rates for active military and younger children. The speedway opened in 2015 on the grounds of a former go-kart track and sits a few miles from Emerald Isle's beaches. Events include the Battle at the Beach, the Bobby Watson Memorial race, and the Halloween Bash and Night of Destruction. Tickets are sold online through the venue's website.
