About Aisd History Center - Old Library

Aisd History Center - Old Library preserves and displays the rich history of Angleton schools spanning more than a century. Visitors explore photographs of students, staff, and events organized by year from 1897 to the present, as well as by high school sports and programs including band and drama. The center houses school yearbooks from the 1900s through 2000s and Angleton Times newspapers covering the same period. Historical materials from all district elementary schools, junior high, and high school across all decades are collected and organized here, including items from Marshall School and early districts that consolidated with AISD. Personal memoirs from alumni and former employees document their Angleton school experiences. The center also maintains DVDs and CDs of school events. Located in the old library building on the Downing Road site in Angleton, Texas, the facility serves alumni, former staff, faculty, and students researching the district's extensive past.
