About Orange County Parks and Recreation

Orange County Parks and Recreation operates numerous parks and natural areas throughout Orlando, Florida, where visitors hike trails, camp, paddle boats, and participate in recreational programs. Tibet-Butler Preserve offers miles of hiking trails, a butterfly garden, and the Vera Carter Environmental Center with exhibits about Florida plants and wildlife. Kelly Park features tubing on the Rock Springs waterway, tent and RV camping, paddle board and canoe launches, sand volleyball, and equestrian trails across 380 acres. The West Orange Trail provides a paved route for bicycling, skating, and walking with leashed dogs. Visitors can explore orienteering courses, participate in bird and wildlife searches, enjoy group camping at sites like Camp Joy, and rent pavilions for events. Youth and adult athletic programs, environmental education field trips, and the Trailblazers hiking program are available throughout the year at various locations across the Orlando area.
