Kids misbehaving? Pop their heads in the T-Rex jaws at Torquay’s Dinosaur World. Then leave them in the prehistoric darkness of Kents Cavern. Just for a few minutes to think about things, mind.
Cornwall’s also in this corner. It’s ‘are you sure this is Britain?’ beautiful – they even have palm trees. You can surf at Newquay. Get arty at Tate St Ives. See a huge indoor rainforest at The Eden Project.
So that’s the South West – easy on the eye and a whole vibe of its own.
