At first glance, County Down looks very green, very lush, and very outdoorsy – which is no surprise when you learn it’s one of Northern Ireland’s most scenic and historic counties with an array of attractions at one with nature.
Don’t believe us? The Mourne mountains in the south of the county are a perfect example – hailed as one of the most beautiful corners of Northern Ireland, they’re County Down in a nutshell. Home to weaving trails, awe-inspiring scenery and legendary yarns – the dozen or so misty peaks are a must-see for walkers, ramblers and even intrepid cyclists.
