Days out in Liverpool

So, what makes this Merseyside city so good? Well, it’s renowned as one of the world’s friendliest cities, for a start. Plus, with tons of history, music, culture and sports attractions, it makes for a cracking spot for stag and hen weekends, romantic breaks, family trips – you name it.

Everyone knows Liverpool because of the Beatles but there’s loads to do here even if (shock, horror) you’re not actually that into them. Try the (free) Walker Art Gallery for paintings by top artists like Rubens and Rembrandt. Or if you like your art a bit more edgy, Tate Liverpool has seriously cool stuff from Picasso, Warhol and Matisse.

Fancy a bit of shopping? Bold Street’s got great cafes and posh boutiques. And Liverpool nights out are legendary: The Grapes in the Baltic Triangle is brilliant for live music and Heebie Jeebies in the city centre has all your rock and Indie tunes.
