This cosy, family-run café offers up traditional British fish and chips right by the seaside. As you’d expect from a proper Yorkshire Chippy, the portions are generous – with a choice of Cod or Haddock – and plenty of chips to go round. If you’re in the market for a casual dinner, this might just be the perfect spot – grab your fish and chips, head down to the seafront and tuck in (what else could you want?) 2. Golden Grid
Based out of a stunning three-storey Victorian building near the seafront, this British restaurant serves up hearty dishes like sausage and mash, roast beef and Yorkshire puddings and steak and chips. We can’t fail to mention the fresh seafood they’ve been serving up since 1883 – it’s not just fish and chips either, they’ve got oysters, crab and lobster on offer too. Don’t forget to save space for dessert too, Golden Grid serves up freshly made cakes and pastries everyday.

This is one of the best places to eat in Scarborough if you’re looking for a little something for everyone – from hamburgers and sandwiches to Japanese ramen, Thai curries and breakfast burritos, they’ve got it all. The Eat Me Café is an award-winning spot in Scarborough, located just behind the world-famous Stephen Joseph Theatre, and is definitely one of our top spots in the area.

4. The Copper Horse Restaurant
Step inside of this cosy restaurant be prepared to eat a meal you won’t be forgetting anytime soon. The Copper Horse Restaurant is just a little outside of Scarborough, in the village of Seamer – and there really is a small-town comfort about it.
