What to expect at The Blackpool Tower Ballroom

It’s Britain's poshest place to bust a move

You’ve seen it on Strictly Come Dancing but nothing compares to shuffling out onto the sprung dancefloor, gazing at the ornate balconies and whirling under the beautiful chandeliers. In these plush surroundings, even dancers with two left feet look good.

Relax at your table with a glass of fizz (or a good old afternoon tea) or let the music take you and throw some serious shapes. Please leave your scones at the table though - it once took them a week to remove half a scone from one of the organ’s pipes. Some people eh?

Organists like David Windle and Phil Kelsall are wizards on the iconic Wurlitzer organ, and you can check their schedule on the official site if you want to go when one of your favourites is tinkling the ivories.

It’s undoubtedly the most romantic spot for anyone who loves to dance.
