Strawberry Field Liverpool tickets and tips

3 things worth shouting about:

  1. There’s a cool interactive exhibition all about how Strawberry Field started as a children’s home and inspired John Lennon to write ‘Strawberry Fields Forever’.
  2. The gardens are lovely to hang out in. And yup – they really grow strawberries there.
  3. The bandstand is based on the drum on the Sgt. Pepper’s album cover – a great spot for live music and lovely views.

Strawberry Field Liverpool tips and tricks

William

William says

"Bigger than it looks!"

It looks quite small but don't be fooled, there's loads to do inside - definitely our favourite place to visit as big Beatles fans.

Kevin

Kevin says

"Be sure to stop by the cafe"

The day was made by the Imagine more cafe for us, the food was delicious and it had a great community feel.

What to expect at Strawberry Field Liverpool

Step inside ‘Strawberry Fields Forever’

If you’re a Fab Four fan, it doesn’t get much better than walking in John Lennon’s childhood footsteps in this former Salvation Army girls' home, where he used to shimmy over the wall and wander around the lovely gardens.

The interactive exhibition is packed with photos, audio and video that tell the whole backstory of how this chilled-out place inspired John’s famous song. And there’s a high-tech bandstand with cracking views of the area, where they sometimes put on live music shows.

But for us, the highlight is just wandering around the gardens. They’re so lush and relaxing, you almost feel like writing your own song… then think ‘nah, leave it to the pros’.

Another cool thing is that Strawberry Field is also a community that helps local folk get ahead in life – part of your ticket price goes to supporting young people with learning disabilities.
